Water Damage

Rain gutters protect your home from water damage by controlling rainwater runoff. Water that is not directed away from your home can lead to serious damage and expensive repairs.

  • Wet basements cause damage to flooring, drywall and personal property.
  • Cracking and bulging of basement walls.
  • Mold.
  • Rot.
  • Insect Infestation.
  • Landscape erosion.
  • and more.

A quality gutter shield enhances your gutter system by preventing leaves, branches and other debris from clogging your gutters. A clogged gutter prevents the movement of rainwater away from your home, often leading to serious damage to your property.

LeafLID® and AqueDUCT® gutter shields will keep you off ladders, removing debris from your gutters. As leaves and other debri gather in unprotected gutters the drains plug allowing water to pool in your gutters. The debris begins to decompose producing a foul odor and also serve as breeding grounds for mosquitoes.

There are several gutter and shielding systems available, Bear Roofing & Exteriors offers you only the best, LeafLID® Seamless Hooded System and AqueDUCT® Screen Hanger System™.

Senox Corporation

The senox corporation is the leading manufacturer and supplier of rain gutter products in the United States. Senox has invested years into researching other leaf protection systems to find out why they fail to work.

Data in hand, they set out to perfect the technology of hooded gutter systems and developed the LeafLID® Seamless Hooded System and AqueDUCT® Screen Hanger System™.

The LeafLID® Seamless Hooded System

LeafLID® brings together advanced engineering, design and manufacturing to address the weaknesses of other leaf protection systems. Bear Roofing & Exteriors is proud to be the LeafLID® exclusive dealer for Minnesota and Wisconsin.

  • Precisely shaped hood, trough, hangers, end caps and corner pieces.
  • Patented system.
  • Flashing & Roof Friendly Installation.
  • Visually appealing for great curb appeal.
  • Wide selection of colors.
  • Warranty on workmanship and paint.
  • Cost effective repair-ability.

How LeafLID® Works

Water flows over the top and around the nose of the gutter hood and is directed into the trough. Leaves and other debris are shed to the ground. Two water entry points from the hood into the trough allow for the water allow rainwater to enter from the front and back of the trough. This helps to flush out any small debris that may have entered.

LeafLID®'s unique two-piece design combined with removable miters and end caps allow for cost effective repairs in the event of damage caused by tree limbs, hail or other storm damage. We simply replace the damaged components.

Home Friendly

LeafLID®'s design allows for mounting on all types of fascia. The system is installed directly onto the fascia board and not into the roof disturbing the shingles. It works with all types of roofs and pitches, working well with flashing preventing water from running behind the gutter and rotting the fascia board.

The AqueDUCT® Screen Hanger System™

The AqueDUCT® Screen Hanger System™ brings together advanced engineering, design and manufacturing to address the weaknesses of other leaf protection systems. The Pocket Lock Lip™ system allows for easy and secure installation that resists water and dirt buildup that can cause tiger striping. The louvered cover provides a clog free gutter system without the need of additional hangers to secure it in place. Bear Roofing & Exteriors is proud to offer the AqueDUCT®Screen Hanger System™ as a rain gutter protection system for everyone in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

How AqueDUCT® Works

Water flows over the top of the louvered cover and stainless steel mesh falling into the trough. Leaves and other debris are shed to the ground.

AqueDUCT®'s unique two-piece design combined with removable miters and end caps allow for cost effective repairs in the event of damage caused by tree limbs, hail or other storm damage. We simply replace the damaged components.

Let's Dispel Some Common Myths

The "Maintenance Free" Myth

Everything requires some maintenance, there is no such thing as "Maintenance Free". LeafLID® and AqueDUCT® are effective at shedding the debris that is primarily responsible for clogging gutters. Yearly maintenance is suggested to prevent the buildup of dirt, gravel from your shingles and small debris.

  • Minimal maintenance required.
  • Hood Snaps on and off for easy cleaning.

The "One Piece Systems Are Better" Myth

A two piece design is the only way to assure proper overlapping of the flashing into the gutter. This directs rainwater from the roof directly into the trough. One piece systems allow rainwater to seep between the trough and the fascia causing water damage.

The "Hood Will Blow Away" Myth

LeafLID® and AqueDUCT® hoods will not blow away. Our precision design and snap lock system keep your LeafLID® hoods securely in place. The AqueDUCT® shares our precision design and is held tight with the Pocket Lock Lip™ system.

An added benefit to our design is that hail damage will only requre the replacement of the hoods. On one piece systems, the entire system will need to be replaced.

The "Heavier Aluminum is Better" Myth

Heavier aluminum is just heavier, it doesn't make it better for gutters. Anything that would dent the lighter material will also dent the heavier material.

The real strength of aluminum lies within its tensile strength. (That is hardness.) Our gutter coil is manufactured specifically for gutters providing a higher tensile strength than the coil used by most gutter manufacturers.
